Whether you have just moved home or want to spruce up a room using an interior designer can be the ideal answer to all your design aspirations.

Sarah Clayton Interior Design can help you, no matter how large or small your project whether you need advice on wallpapers and paints to planning and executing a full renovation project we are on hand to help you every step of the way.  We offer competitive packages to suit all budgets, complemented by our team of skilled and talented trades we can take care of all aspects of your project for you.

Architectural and local authority planning is also a service we can offer if your project requires planning permissions and building regulations drawings please email us for costs on this service.

Step 1.

Consultation - We contact you and introduce you to your designer, here we will get to know a little bit about what you are looking for and want to achieve ie Colour preferences and styles you like, also importantly who shares the space and how you live your lives as an individual or family, we believe planning rooms for functionality is equally as important as making rooms aesthetically pleasing, this information will help us calculate what the best package would be for you. We will ask you to pay a design fee this covers our time in designing your project and sourcing any products required.

Step 2.

Photos and Measurements - Now its over to you we will ask you to send us over some piccies of the space you want to be designed along with some measurements of the room and where key fixed items ie Doors and Windows are situated don’t worry we do not need a detail floorpan just a rough drawing with some measurements so we can start building your dream space. If you do not want to do the measuring don’t worry you can opt to have us visit your property to undertake a room/site survey for you. Be sure to include an items that will be fixed or staying in the room ie bookcases, pieces of furniture so we can build them into the design.

Step 3.

Design Brief - Based on the first 2 steps we are able to start preparing your mood board and room visuals, these will be made up based on the feedback you have given in your consultation, we will provide you with suggestions for fabrics, wall coverings flooring as well as furniture, accessories and lighting solutions. We produce a floorpan for you swell as a visual of your room so you can see what the room will look like when its finished you can then make any necessary changes you want to the room.

Step 4.

Quotation - Once your design has been finalised and you are happy with aspects of the design we will produce a quotation for you and scope of works if applicable where you will be access and take advantage of our trade discounts and prices. We would also need you to remember that any bespoke hand made elements such as soft furnishings, sofas,  beds or furniture will have a lead time and will be unable to be changed once they have gone into production.

Step 5.

The Magic Begins - So you have your finalised design and quotation  and now we start to turn your design into reality, we appoint you a project manager who will be the liaison between yourself and any tradesmen they will also ensure that your job stays on track and on budget.  All of our tradesmen are qualified and are sourced locally. We will also meet with you weekly to ensure that you are happy and to answer any questions you may have along the way.

Step 6.

Extras - As your design begins to take shape you may find that you want to add something to your design, not a problem we will quote you for any extras so you have a record of what you have asked for so you have no hidden costs at the end of the renovation.

Step 7.

Sign Off - When we complete your design project we will ask you to sign off the works undertaken and any final payments to be made.
